decoy12
I was wondering if anyone sold brackets to mount thin bumpers on to a sedan? I only have the thin bumpers and no bumper guards or brackets, etc. Any help is appreciated! Here is what I am dealing with: Quote Link to comment
INDY510
That's a USDM 74 coupe bumper ... you need the bumper over-rider (rubber guards) in order to mount that bumper if you fully compress your park bench mounts, the 74 bumper over-riders should bolt on; and it will be fairly flush with the body. It looks like 75 coupe/sedan park bench mounts are identical to 74 coupe mounts .. Maybe make a flat piece of metal where the rubber guard goes, but you will need to fully compress the shock mounts; inorder to make the bumper fit closer to the body 2 Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
I had to make my own to fit a '73 610 rear bumper to my '76 Quote Link to comment
INDY510
you need to take the square piece with 4 bolt holes (#26) off you park bench bumpers.. don't throw them away, they will bolt to the 74 bumper guards: 2 Quote Link to comment
Greased monkey
That's going to look sweet I can't wait to see it mounted! I'm going to delete the rubber pieces I personally think they look hideous. I will be welding the gap shut and just like they were meant to be in the 1st place :) 1 Quote Link to comment
decoy12
I don't have the bumper guards and the #26 plate is too small for the bumper holes? I am not sure what year the bumpers came off of, but the 710 is a 1974 sedan. Quote Link to comment
INDY510
The #26 square piece bolts onto the rubber bumper guard (the piece you don't have) The #26 piece will fit any year coupe/sedan bumper, but not a wagon bumper. So don't throw away the #26 piece. If you can't find the rubber guards, then you need to make your own filler piece. That might be the best way to make sure the bumper sits high enough up. 1 Quote Link to comment
Greased monkey
I have the piece you need to mount your bumpers correctly. If you want I can yank it off my bumpers and send it out 1 Quote Link to comment
decoy12
I see what you mean now INDY, #26> bumper guard > bumper. I interpreted the picture wrong. Greased monkey, I would appreciate any help sourcing parts for the bumper! Quote Link to comment
