difrangia Posted December 21, 2014 Report Share Posted December 21, 2014 A friend of mine who has several 320 pickups with E1 engines and a basket case J13 engine asked me about the boss on the rear end of this cam that is with the J13. Photo of the cam with boss and a regular E1 cam: When inserted in the block which doesn't have a plug behind the rear bearing, the boss sticks out the back of the block. Anybody have an idea what the boss is for? Maybe the engine came off of a fork truk or was used in an industrial application?? I could envision that in an overhead cam application, it might be a tacho drive or something like that. Quote Link to comment
