mrmark
I'm seeing lots of HID kits that replace our dim datsun headlights to H4 projector lenses. Anyone have them? They are reasonably priced and seem like a nice upgrade. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Upgrading you headlight wiring is another option and allows higher amperage bulbs... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/1351-upgrading-headlight-circuit/ HID swaps... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/1590-bmw-headlight-swap/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/41326-hid-lights-for-620/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/23305-hid-kits/ http://community.ratsun.net/topic/7506-hid-headlights-for-720/ 1 Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I only know of two 5.75" projector headlights on the market, and neither are cheap. One is low beam only made by dapper lighting, the other is astronomical in price, looks bizarre and I cant remember who make it... Everything else is not a projector light. Also I highly doubt any of them are set up for properly take HIDs. Quote Link to comment
mrmark
I believe the lights in my 210 are of the larger 7 inch variety. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
That helps a bit. Ebay "projectors" are not actually projectors. Here is a product which is 100% legit. http://www.dapperlighting.com/products/7-classic-projector If it doesnt cost this much new, its probably not real. The more you research lights, the faster you realize that good lighting costs money. Honestly, I would slap a set of H4 conversions in, and just run Halogens. Again though, there are the cheap ebay ones, and then there are the more fancy brands which cost a ton, but they actually tune their lights better. Quote Link to comment

5t341tH
this is what i have planned. Q45 projectors inside these cheapy h4 conversion housings. Hopefully it goes well. I've done these projector retrofit in my last lexus gs300 so I do have a bit of experience 1 Quote Link to comment
mrmark
I like the Dapper black series but not sure if i want to spend that much. Quote Link to comment
mrmark
Hella makes a reasonably priced H4 conversion. No HID or 4 billion K craziness, just a nice bright upgrade. I'll see what's out there before I buy but most of those eBay craptacular units seem like junk or maybe just off road lights that shine light everywhere except where you need it. I just need brighter street lights. Quote Link to comment
