Valvebounce
Hey guys, What does everyone do about replacement rear brake drums for their 620's? I've measured all my drums, and they're all within bugger all of the max dia. I got two mates who work at rival car parts shops to look, but they could find nothing. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
orangie
Not sure what you're saying. Do you need rear replacement drums? They are still available here in the US (I think). rockauto.com Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Here in the USA I use Rock Auto. I am guessing they will ship to Australia. Might be pricey though. A suggestion add the year to your list of vehicles. I was going to get some Part Numbers for you but without the year it would be guessing. http://www.rockauto.com/ http://www.rockauto.com/lang/en/policy.html Quote Link to comment
Jester
He has another thread that has some details about the truck, you just have to put the puzzle together. Pretty sure the frame is from a '78. Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Thanks Jester. 78 has disk front in the USA. I thought it was drum all around. Quote Link to comment
Jester
Ya, looks like his '78 has drums all around. Weird. Quote Link to comment
Valvebounce
I actually forgot I started this thread. lol (Don't come here too often) Yeah drums all round. Although I'm going to fit D21 front hubs and stubs to the front. It's just the rear drums which are coozed. Freight from the US would be a killer! Quote Link to comment
wayno
Different countries had their trucks/automobiles made different, depending on what their standards were, some 620s had J blocks I believe, so it's not that hard to believe that the 620 in Australia had drum brakes all around, quite possibly the 620 may have never come with front disc brakes in Australia, but that is just a wild guess on my part. If they never did come with disc brakes, then that makes it a lot more difficult to upgrade the front brakes which is sad. :( Quote Link to comment
