260z Seats in a 510?

Hey everyone, i've got a question for ya, i've looked through out the forums, and i cant find anything on this, but has anyone ever put 260z seats in a 510? If so do they fit like the 240z seats? I would presume that the sizes and rails of the 240 and 260 are the same, but i want to make sure.

I had Z seats in a 510. Should be the same, as the S30 model(240z, 260z, 280z) were the same platform.

yeah, he's right. s30 is the same platform.

The seat rails are further apart width wise on the 510 seats as compared to the S30 seats or vice versa.  I forget.

 

On my production date 5/72 510, the front seat support rail had holes for both configurations, so the front bolts dropped right in..   Where the back of the rail bolts to the floor the support thickener has two holes in it.  Only one is drilled through the floor boards.   The undrilled one is exactly where the other seat fit.  

 

Looks like it was planned by Datsun.  Or one of the three different 510 seats has exactly the same width as the S30 seats.

 

So, I only had to drill one hole per side and bolt 'em up. Oh, and plug the other holes.
