Steering wheels

I have the same Grant wheel in my racecar. There is something weird feeling about the grip surface. It almost feels slick to me, like it wants to slip in my hand in the turns.

 

I'll either replace it or scuff it up with 80 grit for a nice "suede" finish.

That is what I wound up doing to mine a couple of months ago mainly because the leather was scarred up. I scuffed it with 120, then dyed it black. I need to take a picture since I did that. It looks way better, feels better as well, plus slick and slippery feeling is gone. Grips better too.
