I want to say first you guys helped me a lot to get the truck through emissions.thanks...also, I have realized how much I have neglected the truck over the years. I have had it 30 years , I guess I just expect it to last forever..now I realize it wont unless I start maintaining it....next on the list is clutch fluid...have no idea how old it is, but its like a greenish yellow slime.....Haynes says to bleed the damper first, said its on the firewall..can I pump all the old fluid through the damper first, then open up the clutch piston and bleed it till its clean...... thanks guys.....the bomb...

On the fire wall down behind /beside the intake. Just follow the clutch line from the master. I have no idea what it does exactly. People have removed them and it works just fine. It has a 'soft' puck inside that absorbs some of the pedal travel. Maybe it prevents it being so hard when you first step on the clutch. You know like stepping on a brick? The Z24s all had massive 240mm clutches.
