Sensor/Plug at back of cluster for speedo.

Pretty sure my car was automatic from the factory, as it has the sensor at the back of cluster, and the automatic gas pedal.

 

Question is, now that Im 5 speed, do I need to keep the sensor plugged into the harness/cluster?

 

I doubt it, but cant hurt to ask.

 

And it had 2 sensors double stacked?  What was that about?

Maybe the cable was short and this was easy.

 

Leaving it as is won't harm anything. The emissions equipment (mostly dual points, one set retarded) will still think you're driving an automatic and it will run the same. Most likely the emissions system has been deleted, in which case it will run the same.

You don't need those any longer. Just get a speedo cable for the automatic being that their longer and fit the longer 5-speed trans.
