What's the best color wheel for butterscotch paint?

I'm looking to pick up a new wheel set to replace the turbo swastis I currently have on my four door.

Because I'm working with a full time student/part time job budget I've settled on Rota Grid Vs.

If I've done my research correctly, 15x8 et0 with 195/45/15s should fit pretty nicely.

So the question is, full bronze or gunmetal with a polished lip?

I'm definitely partial to the bronze but I'm not sure how it would look with the "mellow yellow" paint so I thought I'd get some opinions.

I don't know what you have done to the suspension on your car, but i know 15x8et0 wouldn't fit on the rear of my 4 door. Not trying to knock the dream, just trying to save you some money.

mine looks like its ~3/4" lower in the rear (barley tucking a the lip of a 15) but im into the wheel well, cambered in (stock rear suspension geo) and on 15x8+12 and my sidewall is ~2mm from the inner lip on one side and i actually had to beat the lip on the other side. Both fenders had to be rolled. A +0 would be 1/2" farther out than that

Not saying a 15x8+0 won't fit, but its not going to be easy at all in the back. Much cutting /stretching / rolling or flairing probably required, even more if you have your rear camber corrected.

in the front +0 might be fine with 280zx struts, Im rolling 15x7+0 with 200sx struts and they didn't fit till i got camber plates and adjustable LCAs to bring them inside the fenders.

and i vote full bronze between those two :)e

edit, im running 205/50r15 in the back, so a 195/45 would be .2" farther in (due to stretch) and .5" shorter so that would come pretty close to getting your 1/2 difference right there. so it would be VERY tight (usually what im aiming for anyways) but workable with enough messaging.

I have to say the gunmetal gray with polished lip. But you could just go buy some gunmetal (charcoal gray) paint and paint the ones you have. That is what I did on the Saturn I bought for my daughter. The wheels had awful scratches and curb rash, so I sanded them down and hit them up with a few coats of paint.

Here is the end result after painting the lug caps silver and chrome sleeves on the valve stems. Used Duplicolor wheel paint in charcoal gray metallic. The picture doesn't do it justice!

Looks like the general consensus is the charcoal although painting the bronze is an option.

This is what I'm looking at for the difference since I have 1/4 inch spacers with the swastis.

http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=195&aspect=50&diameter=15&wheelwidth=6&offset=3.6&width2=195&aspect2=45&diameter2=15&wheelwidth2=8&offset2=0#content

I've rolled the rears and I've slammed the rear to the point of tucking rim for a while back in august without any issues on these swastis.

However, I plan on raising the rear 1/2 to 1 inch and dropping the front 1/2 to 1 inch. Will that significantly affect fitment with stock camber in the rear?

Good luck finding those. ^_^

Those two photos represent the only two known sets in the US, and the top set was destroyed in a wreck...

Volk supposedly only made 1500 of those in staggered sets of 16x7/16x8 (top photo) and staggered 17x7/17x8 (bottom photo)...

But it is a neat color on butterschotch 510s.

That my friend is a pile of SEX right there. Hope you don't run into trouble with those 8" in front. Could be tight. Try installing just the rim before mounting the tire to make sure it clears.

Will do.  It's finals week here but I'll get around to it in a few days, until then I have some nice floor art.  I'm hoping that I don't have any fitment issues once I raise up the rear because of sticking with the smaller tire size.  Rubber wise I am only pushing my 195s out about 3.5mm further than my current 195s since I have the et10 Swastis with 1/4 inch spacers.
