Anonymous Waffle
Great job ! At that age I was only fooling around with a moped. What's your next mod ? Well, lately we've been putting all the new weatherstripping, door squeegee's on so it does not 1. Rattle the door 2. Rattle the window when its down 3. so its quieter... Soon, I hope to get my fender mirrors I got for x-mas on soon! Also, not to be a dick or anything, but you spelled doraemon wrong >:( I watched that show all the time when I used to live in Japan. Doraemon
Which Fender mirrors are you getting ? Old style bullet ones ? Oh shit ! Thanks for letting me know... never noticed it.  Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
I got flag style mirrors, I love how they look on some bluebirds. They're a cheap set from eBay, but they're not bad! All metal (I think) and has a spring on the bottom to allow the mirror to not break when bumped into. Only complaint is how the adjustment on one is super stiff, probably from tightening it too tough from the Thailand factory. I'll post pics when I'm home. Quote Link to comment

skyblue
Jesus! Never seen that many dead in a tank. I wonder what the cause of death was. Gas fumes? Lol. Maybe name your car Liz. 1 Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
Washed the car and started on buffing the car so it looks more "presentable" Now the hood isn't so oxidized! This is my first time buffing so it's just one coat, and isnt perfect, but it's better than before. 3 Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
Got new tires for the toast rears, 175 70 13's, and finally installed my fender mirrors! 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
small white walls would have been better (if not on the otherside of tire) Looks GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
small white walls would have been better (if not on the otherside of tire) Looks GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have liked skinny whitewalls, but they only had 2 selections of tires for 13's at Les Schwab. I needed tires pretty bad, so this works for now Quote Link to comment
Dream510
Looks real good, Love the fender mirrors! Want to get a set of them for mine. :) You should definitely get some white walls for your next tires! Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
On the last fun run, my quarter window latch had broken on the passenger side. Time for a new one Quote Link to comment

Anonymous Waffle
Did some stuff today. Worked on my original radio by replacing the volume assembly.. It works now, but it's only picking up static and unusual thumping noises. Hopefully we can fine a Bluetooth setup I can fit inside the original to hide the setup and make it discreet. Something like this I saw somewhere on Datsun Also I need opinions. My dad has extra Z seats I could use if I want. They're in better condition than my seats, and I like how they look in a 510. Opinions? 1 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
This is one Bluetooth adapter I've been looking at. It's a small board. .25 x 2 x 2 inches https://thingylab.com/shop/amplifier/bluetooth-audio-amp/ The install instructions show you how to install it where it's controlled only by your phone or whatever. https://thingylab.com/2015/08/bluetooth-amplifier-installation/ This is how to install it so the radio power/volume knob controls it. http://www.artofmanliness.com/2011/09/19/how-to-make-an-old-time-radio-into-an-mp3-player-speaker/ I realize all of that is based on installing this stuff in a house radio, but it shouldn't be difficult to come up with a clean way to connect usb 5 volts to cars 12 volts. I've got a couple ideas on doing it, but haven't tried anything yet. Quote Link to comment

skyblue
i have 240z seats in my 510. they're way better looking and fitting than the stock 510 IMO. just have to drill some new holes for the stock rails to the floor. Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
Alright, chose to install the z seats, and I didn't want to drill new holes or recenter it with 2 sets of holes, so my dad came up with this. Driver's is all in, passenger can't go in due to the custom seat mount we made months ago. So tomorrow we'll cut the hole bigger to be able to reach in there. 1 Quote Link to comment

Anonymous Waffle
Little work on the rear suspension. Dropped about everything to slot the rear cross member to fix the gnarly camber. Camber is cool and all, but just too much for these 5.5" wheels. Someday it'll get the whole kit setup, once there's a steady supply of money. Better! Don't mind the phone filter, it's so you can see the wheels in the bad lighting 2 Quote Link to comment
