Cardinal Grammeter Posted November 25, 2014 Report Share Posted November 25, 2014 Owning a 1974 (me, unfortunately) makes one learn 620 variations since the 74 was a transition year: engine, EGR, electrical connectors, and ??? Fuel line on engine to carb is single for L16 & L18 and triple for L20. So its easy to spot a L20. Mine has a perfect frame and the cab needed over 6# of MIG wire. The aft floor edge is a complete disaster area and could very well be the weak link in the sheet metal. The 4 body bolt support reinforcements also were starting to "punch out" from rust around the support bushings. And the cowl (!) Mine sat under a tree previously and I removed "solid bricks" of tree spooge that completely filled up the cowl. So mine has rust perforations and holes - problem areas are the heater snorkel and the LHS spotweld to the side kick panel. That's all I got... Quote Link to comment
