BobP
I've been having trouble for over a week with my 78 B210 that I have owned since 1/96. It idles high when starting and will not idle at all after stopping and restarting. Also, upon said stop, it diesels and often backfires. Is this possibly an AD valve issue or just a shot carburetor? thatdirtykid
Sounds like maybe choke+vacuum leak is causing a high idle when cold. When choke comes off the vacuum leak plus air through the carb is causing it to be too lean to run. I am unsure if that would cause the dieseling as well Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
Is the car 100% stock? Does it run okay otherwise? 5spd or Auto? Anything happen to vehicle at the same time as the difficulty started, ie - tune-up, air filter, over heated, etc? Sorry for the all of the questions but they are all relevant. Quote Link to comment
