iwayman
I have a SSS fog light grill with no fog lights. What can I do to remedy this issue? Is there somewhere I could buy stock ones that bolt in or is there a way to retrofit any other housings? 1 Quote Link to comment
danfiveten
Or just trade me for my repop bluebird grille ;) Im sure there is a older fog light out there you could adapt to work, go to some swapmeets, auto ones. ALways wanted this grille but i love my repro bluebird, but some part of me still wants that grille. Quote Link to comment
danfiveten
Do something like these (need to do right size) and find on ebay or in person http://www.ebay.com/itm/pair-VINTAGE-IPF-AMBER-DRIVING-LIGHTS-805-with-ZED-1000-fog-lens-zed1000-/400690925325?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d4b0a4f0d&vxp=mtr Then modify the lights NOT the grille to fit and work with it, even if not functional would look amazing having htem instead of not having them untill the day you find the real ones. thisismatt
Nice 510, but who goes to Montana de Oro without taking their mountain bike?! Quote Link to comment
shacks510
Try contacting Craig Ford on Facebook. He works for Tokyo 2u - import cars/parts in Japan. He always posts 510s that are heading for the crusher. Usually he doesn't part them out, but maybe you could pull some strings. Maybe look on Yahoo Japan auctions too. Quote Link to comment
iwayman
This definitely gives me a bit of an idea of what I'm looking for. Quote Link to comment
laotsu
wasn't that like the rarest option? Or was that only on the 521? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
This is a JDM Bluebird SSS grill. Wouldn't be rare in Japan. There was no SSS 521 and no 510 grill will fit the truck. Quote Link to comment
laotsu
no I mean fog lights, I know there's no SSS 521 (except mine). Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Housing is wrong, but looks like the correct lens & bezel: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Deluxe-Ever-Wing-Spot-light-24v-datsun-411-510-521-620-720-NOS-/251703217942?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a9aae4f16&vxp=mtr Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
wasn't that like the rarest option? Or was that only on the 521? Yes, there were a fog light option on the 521s but front bumper mount and they were round I believe. Quote Link to comment
iwayman
Does anyone have pictures of how the fog lights mount into the grill? Also, does anyone think foglights like these could work? Quote Link to comment
q-tip
If they are close to the right dimensions and you can modify the housings to fit then yes they will work. What ever you do don't dont modify that grill. Quote Link to comment

q-tip
If you can some how make a sandwich plate and bolt the light on thru the grill without crushing it. Maybe find a light that mounts from the back instead of the bottom. Quote Link to comment
