]2eDeYe
We have a wrecking yard report thread.http://community.ratsun.net/topic/925-wrecking-yard-report/page-116?do=findComment&comment=1152937 I also use row52.com to keep track of what is in my local yards. Works real nice. :) 1 Quote Link to comment

Cardinal Grammeter
Nothing on row52 within 500 miles. Nothing on CL within driving distance. Found some leads in SoCal. I might as well be in PA. I'm in the desert and there is nothing around. I guess you see those 55 Chevy Pickups only because they are Chevys. They still crush the old stuff unfortunately. So if there isn't a strong collector market for it - kiss it goodbye. EDIT: The very best site for finding junk yard parts is car-part.com. Quote Link to comment
MYDAILYROUTINE
Are you looking for parts or a daily driver? Quote Link to comment
Cardinal Grammeter
Thanks for the reply. Parts only. Here is my list: NOTE: Time is running out for my visit. I'm leaving Carson Tuesday AM and have a big box I'm sending on Monday (I actually found a decent tailgate. Not a priority but couldn't pass it up.) My truck is a "rescue" project. I'm "uncobbling" it and plan to use it as a truck. The worst thing in the world is seeing butchery! Give me individual prices so I can choose what I can afford. If you have any kind of "volume discount," let me know about that too. Here is the Photobuck Link Below is the list of parts I need, but here are pics of the Parking Light Loom Connector and the Front fender inner plastic protectors (see lower RH corner of pic): NEEDED ITEMS: Trim on front of Hood w/fasteners. Can be in poor condition. Can't justify paying a lot for one considering the condition of the truckDoor threshold trim (mine has none but it looks like there are screw holes for itALL front inner fender/wheel well protectors/inner fender mud flaps etc. from a late model (there appear to be 2 that hang down from the inner fender, one in the front and one in the middle that covers the control arms AND a "wheel well" that connects to the fender opening.Hood prop rod w/all clips, bushings, etc.Hood latch mechanism, both parts (hood and core support) w/bolts (I have the cable, but they threw the latch away when they put hood pins in the hood - YES, they DRILLED HOLES IN THE HOOD Fuel lines in engine compartment. Spare tire lift crank only (lift mechanism Promised Items)OE heater core hoses Clips (4), Heater Box front panel Clip, Heater Box Control Valve cable Windshield washer setup (need everything, stripped completely, must be a 1974 w/black rubber electrical connectors. The tank/motor is held by a bracket bolted to the core support on the Driver's side.)Air Cleaner "V" bracket w/screwsConnector from wiring harness for front combination (parking) light (must be a 1974 w/round black rubber connectors, must be cut from the wiring harness)Lens, turn signal combination light, LEFTPROMISED ITEMS: Promised to me from a local guy but he has not produced yet: I suspect he will but I just don't know.License plate light and "hat" bracket w/all hardware (mine stripped completely)Spare tire lift w/all hardware (he thinks he threw the crank away.)OPTIONAL: OE jack (it uses the same crank that the tire lift uses that hangs on the rear of the cab?) OE took kit (would like to have but probably can't justify expense. but a really beat up one in poor condition would be perfect.) Quote Link to comment
MYDAILYROUTINE
I'm headed to a junkyard here in Fallon today. I just found out that a 620 is there. I will see what I can source for you. Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
for hoses I would suggest getting new hoses, Quote Link to comment
Cardinal Grammeter
Hey sorry about the "volume prices" thing - I copied an email I sent to California Mini Truck. They say they have found stuff but its been days and I have no idea what they will come up with or how much. FYI they had a complete jack and tool pouch set that was in excellent condition and wanted $150 for it. I guess that's not bad if you have a 620 that's worth $10k. I have no idea what they'll want for a hood prop rod. $10, $20, $50 ??? If that 620 would be a 74 w/L18 that would be an incredible find due to the unique electrical connectors used on it. datzenmike
Trim on front of Hood w/fasteners. Can be in poor condition. Can't justify paying a lot for one considering the condition of the truckPaint the old one or the area behind it silver gray to match the plastic grill and call it good.Door threshold trim (mine has none but it looks like there are screw holes for it Get the sill plates from a 720. They are black plastic and don't get all dented or corroded. Modify to fit. Before mid '82 they say DATSUN and NISSAN after Hood prop rod w/all clips, bushings, etc. Make hood prop from round stock steel. The plastic hold down clip was also used on the B110/B210/610/710/S10 (200sx), 620/720/Pulsar NX.Fuel lines in engine compartment. OE heater core hoses Buy new Windshield washer setup (need everything, stripped completely, must be a 1974 w/black rubber electrical connectors. The tank/motor is held by a bracket bolted to the core support on the Driver's side.) The '75 and up bottle should work, or get the standoff mount for it as well. Splice the electrical. No one will notice or care as long as you do a good job soldering and use heat shrink tubing.Air Cleaner "V" bracket w/screws Not needed, and makes removal so much easier. V bracket also used on the PL521, PL510 and the 620 through '74.Connector from wiring harness for front combination (parking) light (must be a 1974 w/round black rubber connectors, must be cut from the wiring harness) Parking lamps all the same. Convert over to later years and splice in, solder and heat shrink, no one will notice. Spare tire lift w/all hardwareAll 620 years same Quote Link to comment
Cardinal Grammeter
King Rat, I'm probably going to end up making the prop rod like you say. There is an 85 720 in the local Pick-N-Pull And the 720 sil plates would definitely be OK with me - would like the Datsun ones though. What about the 720 hood latch? They are selling $20 new ones on eBay and they say they fit 620, 720 and about 10 other models. Pretty big interchange claims??? Here is copy: NOTE: If the pic looks like a latch that would work on a 620 (I've never seen one), I could use the pics to see if a 720 latch looks close enough. But someone has to vet the pics for a 620. datzenmike
My guess is that the hood latch can easily be made to work. Quote Link to comment

Charlie69
Edit your profile and add your year make and model of your truck and you might find there are some resources close to you. Just a suggestion. Quote Link to comment
