1972 Datusn 1600 Pickup Junkyard (I think its a 521)

UPDATE: Most of the good parts on this truck has been taken. I just went back this past Saturday (11/8/14).

 

Gone: Rear windshield,  Tailgate, Passenger headlight, cluster gauge, cluster bezel, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, valve cover, steering wheel horn cover, radiator, fan shroud, alternator bracket, pedal rubber covers.

 

All the suspension parts are still there. But if anyone is interested, the truck is located at Pull-A-Parts: 4416 Buford Hwy Norcross, GA 30071

Never seen a 521 AC system. Do want. A 521 on the east coast is a rare find indeed.

I wanna say its the same as the 510 console but I could be wrong but the 510 console fits if you take the 2 levers on the bottom off of the 521 dash

Turn signal stalk/switch assembly is worth saving.

Engine and trans would fit your early 620, alternator (but lower output) maybe the rad. The third member will and the leaf springs. Brake drums probably. Gauge cluster isn't a match to the 510 although very close looking to the '68/'69 cars.

The levers are still on the bottom of that dash, I wonder if they are functional?

that a/c differs from the one in my 521, and I could use the hood lift support.

It's a dealer installed unit. Might be made by Nissan.

I like the 72' for the shoulder belts.  If you rebuilt it most of your parts would come from the left coast I guess.  Good times.

The levers still work on this model AC.  Look close at the 2 levers one is forward and one is back.

Kinda makes me regret tearing out the dealer installed a/c that looked identical to that junkyard one at the start of my build and throwing it out. The system was massive with a huge compressor mounted driver side of engine and big condenser that reduced knee/leg room on passenger side.
