If you want more pressure you can simply shim the pressure relief valve. This increases the pressure but that's all.

 

If you want more oil volume, for instance if running a spray bar or an extra line to a turbo, just get the high volume pump from an '89-'90 S13 240sx with a single cam KA24E engine or any KA24E or KA24DE engine from a D-21 Hardbody. These have about the same pressure setting as any L or Z series engine but the higher volume will boost the idle and low RPM pressure. My very old and worn L20B had 17 PSI hot idle oil pressure. With no other change than a 240sx pump, the hot idle oil pressure jumped to 29 PSI. You can still shim the relief valve if you want more pressure.
