Thanks for the info but this is a R180 I have a R160.. from what I can see no one makes stubs for them just R180s.

I have a plan.. hopefully it works

got an update from the shop last night.. some bad news while media blasting the car.. sand got all inside the car and looks like a beach now.. hopefully it cleans up easy and didn't ruin anything like the carpet or the seats

Not sure if you have seen my how-to but it should apply the same to a 25 spline R160.

This is the route I'll be most likely taking.. hopefully it is straight forward swap from the WRX to the Datsun diff..  fingers crossed!! lol

Looks fucking awesome! This is one of my favorite wagons. The red wrinkle valve cover and gray block look sweet.

So turns out that the flaring kit I use for my brakes sucked monkey D...  leaked from every fitting I made, well almost every fitting... It wasn't the first time I've done fittings and had no issues before but this flaring kit was a nightmare... nothing sealed up, very annoying for amount of time I spent making them and fitting them to how I wanted... I ended up ordering brake hose kit from Chase Bay, not cheap but hopefully I can hide all the lines as I did before with everything being pre-made... I'm currently using their clutch line and it's a very nice piece... Fingers crossed that it comes in time before Wekfest Chicago

Your goon is beautiful, I wish I could be home all the time to work on my 2 door and goon, maybe one day.

Beautiful man. My goon is the same color and when i first got it, I found your JDM Chicago shots and was inspired! I was wondering about your flares for a long time and saw you explained it here. Any shots of the process?

If I may ask, I had a paint question. Did you use the original paint code to get a match, get a custom match to the existing paint, or use a similar modern color?

It's your car, just don't ruin it.

It's also not my money, so i'll suggest the most expensive option.

It's the orginal color.. I couldn't remember the paint code so my paint guy ordered all samples of the blues for 71 datsuns and found it.. "Nissan blue" not sure if the name is legit or not

Always heard it called Robin's Egg Blue, but I doubt that's a legit name either...

Same color (I think) as my old 4dr and wanting to paint my new 4dr that color also. Don't recall the number/name any more...   ^_^
