datzenmike
Try an ad here... http://community.ratsun.net/classifieds/category/4-engine/?sort_key=date_added&sort_order=desc Might be easier to just get another to keep you going. It will have to be a 210 number head. A letter head like A87, U67, W53 etc will have a disastrous compression ratio. There are lots of L16s laying around from engine swaps. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Why do you say your head is bad? Quote Link to comment
72MAMBA
So i drained out my radiator i was running it with water only and i decided to put actual radiator fluid then it blew it.my truck over heated and water went in my heads my oil is nice and white on the meter stick .(i think that is the problem not a huge mechanic guru tho) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You have a blown head gasket. The last one I had was $23 to fix. Let me say now do NOT remove the cam sprocket without finding out how to secure the timing chain so the tensioner doesn't fall out. Don't let a friend do it either. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Um, block the chain. As much as I would love to see you post 3 threads on how to get your cam gear on-block your chain. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
If you ran a really long time w/o anti freeze the water pump area on the front cover could have a small hole and once pressure build pumps water in oil. as you loose water motor overheats. is crank case full of water? higher than the dip stick. pull the water pump and ck the from cover see if look like termites went thru it. Tiny holes pitting. antifreeze keep from alum cover from cavitating(making holes) Quote Link to comment
