red13
ok i've looked around and really couldn't find the infor. On carpartsmanual it shows it in different location. Does any body know the correct placement for the head to block dowels i need to put them back in and can't remember. thanks Quote Link to comment
heretic
if I'm understanding your question right......... the head bolt holes are a bit larger & shallow on the ones with the dowel holes so that the dowel will drop in ...... you can lay the head gasket down on the block & look at it also. datzenmike
I think I used 1/2" copper pipe once. You may have to slit them lengthwise so they compress and fit. #11053-73400 used on L, Z, series and more Quote Link to comment
red13
yeah i've been losing my mind a little being at home on disability. I just looked at the block and found two spots where the dowels go. theres 2 that holes wide open where a head bolt goes. thanks guys Quote Link to comment
scooter
On my l20b in my truck I lost them and used electrical conduit with a cut in it and squeezed to fit. Seems to work fine. 1 Quote Link to comment
