Seats look like MGB, im going to try some covers

It's really easy to reupholster 410 and 411 seats if the underlying foam is in good shape.  Replacement foam sheets are available through reupholstery shops, not necessarily auto reupholstery shops,  All furniture uses foam underlayment.  Get a matching or "close enough" vinyl, lay the material on the existing seats and cut with a 1 inch margin to the existing panels.  Get same color vinyl cord whipping from the upholstery store!  It beats trying to sew a strip of vinyl around a dubious piece of cord.  If the sewing machine that you can get access to is a wimpy home unit, the long but successful route is the manually rotate the flywheel.  It will take almost forever, but man! what control you will have over the placement of stitches!  Fit up the panels and cord, use ordinary staples to hold the assembly in proper configuration and sew away.  You just saved 4 or 5 hundred dollars.
