And the reclaimed aluminum from the shot down NAZI planes was a major source of sheet metal, structure and engine parts for the RAF build up. Quote Link to comment

Well, you can't really compare 909 to the Belle just simply because it was at tow totally different stages of the war. Dangerous in both situations,but much more survivable by the time 909 came into play. The American all time leader is B-26 Marauder "Flak Bait" with 207 missions 3 Quote Link to comment
