DaBlist
I feel like getting Photobucket to let me post a picture was more of an accomplishment than installing a carburetor 2 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
I like what you've done with the valve cover. I need to do that on the Z22 cover for my Volvo... Yes, I stole your bit and I'm building a European sedan with a Japanese engine... ? Quote Link to comment

DaBlist
When I first installed the Weber I used a 1.75" tall adapter with plans to have a bulge in the hood to clear the air cleaner. Then recently decided to modify the stud location and port openings on the intake to bolt the carb on without any adapter Edited December 23, 2020 by DaBlist 2 Quote Link to comment
DaBlist
Then time to rethink how my throttle cable was routed at the pedal. Anybody else hoard brackets? I can't throw out anything without first harvesting all the hardware and brackets off it. Flat screen mounts to the rescue, Cut, weld, grind. DaBlist
Time for tension rods as the factory ones are no longer the right length or angles. Used a donor set of tension rods and the adjusters from Mazda RX7 rear suspension links. 3 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Looking good! 👍 That gas pedal set-up is very crafty. Well done! Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
I too hoard brackets and hardware. That all came out really nice. Quote Link to comment
DaBlist
Still need to weld on brake hose tabs. Nothing at the top is adjustable, just used spare collars for the top spring perch. I have know ideal what springs I will end up running, these are some 12" 200 lbs to get me started putting things together. Edited February 8, 2021 by DaBlist 2 Quote Link to comment

With a roughly 2000-2200 pound car, that's a great place to start. 👍 Edited January 2, 2021 by datsunfreak 1 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
No consideration given to a smaller diameter tire? 😁 Quote Link to comment

Wanted to make room now so I would have room for options in the future. Without springs I may be cycling the suspension at limits I will never reach without air bags which is a thought I'm open to down the road. Also I have no idea what my caster is at the moment. I'm working with LCA in it's relaxed position. 3 Quote Link to comment
DaBlist
It bothered me that the lower valance I added covers the factor tow points so a U-bolt, metal scraps, cut, weld, grind. 4 Quote Link to comment
