WTH is happening with my clutch pedal?

Hey all-

I'm driving and out of nowhere- my clutch pedal is limp on the floor and I'm unable to shift into gear. After I wait a few minutes, the pedal has resistance again and I'm able to drive home. It's happened a few times and has me puzzled. The reservoir on the slave sylinder is full and I don't see any fluid anywhere? Not sure what's going on but it has be scared to drive anywhere as I got stuck at a green light which was a little embarrasing... Thanks for any insight!

you lost clutch fluid. go look at your SLAVE cylinder (that's the one on the transmission) it likely has a bulged rubber boot. The MASTER cylinder ( that's the one on the firewall with a reservoir) can still look full with this failure. You can buy a rebuild kit or new slave all over the place. since it is an external slave it is a really easy fix. Just be sure to thoroughly bleed the system after the replacement.
