Ya that dash job is a bit intimidating. I took it completely apart, and still havent decided how im going to fabricate the new face, cluster bezel, and cap. Im thinking fiberglass but plans could change.

That little strip that holds the top of the door card was not used after '75

Its a 74. I cant find a hood that isn't junk so im thinking a scoop may be in order. Just till I can find a decent hood for a good price.[/quote

 

Did you ever get this sorted? I would almost trade you hoods, got a decent on on my new kc just needs a weld on the passenger side stiffener on the bottom and has pin holes in it. ???

Im actually looking for the grill it came with but have had no luck.

The dash pad was toast so I decided to pull it out and start the recon process

Speaking of dash pads... that tan color pad was only available on the '79 620.

I love the wheels too, dont know how they would fit on the 74 tho because of the widebody kit. Im stoked about the bench seat and the hood tho! Not to mention all the interior pieces that are missing that I now have :thumbup: .

So after many weeks of doing nothing I finally got back to work on my truck.

 

I dont think these wheels go with the style of this truck. maybe I will sell em? :)

Its nice to have a hood without a huge hole in it.

Painted the spare grill I had from the parts truck and installed it.

Installed the dash I have thats in much better shape than my last one, decided to scrap the other one i was working on. came with a bezel thats not destroyed and a radio!

i agree with rick, i think the turbines would work well with that truck. of course wouldn't know until seeing one actually mounted. the depth of them put next to it throws off the look a little bit i think

 

happy to see you found a hole free hood and you gotta get some sort of vents in there just to throw off the flatness of it.

 

that grill looks nice all painted up like that and congrats on the dashboard

Well after several weeks of dicking around with a freeze plug, I finally got one in and took it for a test drive!

 

Then I ran out of gas................................
