datzenmike Posted August 21, 2014 Report Share Posted August 21, 2014 If synthetic be warned that that stuff is so slippery it can leak past seals that would normally hold ordinary oil. I've done this. A few weeks later the diff was all wet. The cure was replacing the pinion seal with a new one. Did the same with the transfer case $25 X 2 seals. The trans had a new rear seal, I always change them when the trans is out. It's only $5 Quote Link to comment
