mcordero8
Can someone show me how the seat belts are mounted on their 620. I put them back on but something doesn't look right if someone can please show me a pic of how they are mounted on I would gladly appreciate it. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You may have swapped side by mistake. Quote Link to comment
mcordero8
No I didn't because I specifically remember the drivers side on had a slight tare. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
73 doesn't have retractors so they're pretty much symmetrical. Can't see how they could be mounted "wrong" unless they were bolted on backwards, which would add a permanent half-twist to the webbing. 3 parts, 3 bolts. I retrofitted later belts into mine so can't show how originals work. Later belts fit but not quite perfectly, as the lower outboard anchor point was moved for the '76+ models. Quote Link to comment
red13
mine just has a lap belt. The shoulder strap is there, but it clips into the lap belt so I never used it, Quote Link to comment
sebpv
http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun620/Datsun620Index.aspx you will see belt schemes for all years and models. ...while we are in the subject, someone can tell me how we extent the retractable ones... I just let the belt retract and they are stuck that way -_- I hope no one is offended by my thread jacking... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Just pull slowly outward. You may have to push in slightl;y first to release the 'ratchet. If the retract part is not sitting level it can jam and dirt and McDonald's fries can definitely jam the mechanism. 1 Quote Link to comment
