510 w/SR20DET oil cooler

Anyone know what oil cooler will fit in a 510 with a swapped Sr20?  My replacement motor came with one but it's huge and can't fit anywhere.  I just looped the hose back into the oil filter plate and removed it to get the motor installed.  I would like to run one since the ports are there if possible.

Google search came up with some cool pictures but no info on what cores they are running.

I still have the front bumper on mine, I don't think that would fit.  That is the kinda look I was going to go for though.  What year was that off of?

This is FC RX7 - 86-92, both turbo and non-turbo.  Here's one with the bumper still in place- looks like it may have been modified, though!

Edit: OK, yeah- that bumper was cut out for the cooler to fit above the spook.

With all the intercooler piping its a real tight fit in the engine bay.  Behind the driver headlight is the intake and the passenger one is intercooler hose and radiator overflow.  I'll post pics tomorrow morning of my engine bay.

Where did you get that cooler?  I might make that fit

My bad, I have the dumbz.  Staying n/a, so I see the dilemma with my placement...

If/when I go kat, I would mount the oil cooler low, and run ducts off the spook and fab a forced induction face for it.

something like this, but with the back open:

P.S.  I have an rx7 oil cooler laying around if anyone wants if for cheap.  I modded it by flipping the mounting tabs so it would mount reverse, (meaning the oil lines would be on the other side).  I wanted to put it up high and directly behind the grill, but unfortunately it did not fit in between the rad sup. and the front core brace.  Just for a note, the rx7 oil coolers are very highly sought after because of the large volume of oil they hold/cool.  Rotarys have very little room for oil in the block, so they made up for it with the cooler.  so buy my shit :)

Run your SR with a good quality synthetic oil and you don't need a cooler. Synthetics can withstand temperatures of 300ºF all day long and still maintain proper viscosity and lubrication. Petroleum oil starts breaking down at 240ºF. If the thinking is to help cool the engine, you'd get a much better bang for the buck to run a bigger radiator, or a super strong fan with a tight cowl. Hanging a cooler totally exposed out in front of the car like that is great theater, but if you plan on driving this car it's asking for failure IMO.

All I can say is the oil runs much hotter because it goes hotter places the the water doesn't. The hot  oil has to drop to the pan and be pumped all over the rest of the engine  and the heat has to migrate to the water jacket first before it can be moved to the rad for disposal. There must be quite a time lag. A limitless supply of cooled oil will draw the heat away from these hard to reach hot spots more efficiently than the rad.

I found an earls cooler that I can fit under the bumper that will work.  its this one:

I have a new problem though.  New clutch stopped disengaging the trans.. I drove the car for a few days with the new setup and it worked great, then one morning I drove to the store and almost couldn't get back because the clutch master died.  It was original so I wasn't too surprised.  I just replaced it and even though I bled everything I can't get the trans into our out of gear.  I found the slave cylinder barely moves.  I made a rigged adapter to the new master rod to get the clutch some more though and everything works.

My question is: Does the 510 master cylinder have enough displacement to push the SR20DET slave cylinder?  If so is this the sign that I need a new slave?  It was a new slave from when I replaced the trans, but I don't know what brand it is.  It was working find before. Checked clutch pivot, its good.
