As fucked up as it is, economically speaking, my state's GDP has benefited from "illegal immigrant" labor. Bare in mind though, California didn't create this fucking mess, and we do not have the authority to fix it, but we have to deal with it. LMFAO that anyone would be shocked that California would take a liberal path on this. Learn to deal with it, I have. California's operating budget is $183 billion in a state of 40 million people. So WTF is the big ass deal about $46 mil tipping the 2020 election in Trump's favor. Are you serious? Given his track record, I'd say this is a case of HYPER propagandized sensationalism. Perfect example of Chicken Little Shit "news". They didn't mention the name of the legal groups receiving this funding in the article, because it doesn't fit the immigration fear narrative being spun. These evil "anti Trump resistance" groups are actually members of the One California initiative that has received state funding for over 3 years. These are community faith based organizations that help immigrants enroll in EXISTING administrative relief programs as well as encourage citizenship for Lawful Permanent Residents. In fact, the only money earmarked for "legal assistance" for One California programs is $3 million for children arriving alone to the Mexican US border from Central America. Liberal or not, California is the most financially successful state in the United States. It pays more federal tax than any other state by almost double, but is 40th in what it receives from the fed. This making it possible for other less successful states (Red and Blue) to meet their needs. Why?, Because we are part of the UMITED STATES OF A FUCKING MERICA. It pisses me off when narrow minded people call my state stupid simply because it's predominantly liberal. Your beloved California government is killing off farmers one by one choking them from accessing their own water wells, not to mention canal water, they tax the shit out of corporations, they make it almost impossible to start any type of new businesses, they spent billions of dollars on a train project that is way over budget and won't ever be completed in the time frame they presented, fuck dams, we don't need those, they keep jacking you off of more tax money to supposedly "fix the roads" and spend that money on other stuff, your governor is seeking "sanctuary state" status because they hate everything that's not a democrat party lines, the first thing they cut whenever they do a budget cut is police, fire department and school funding in order to sell a new tax increase......you know what....yes it is the stupid state. In fact, your state is so stupid that now that they succeeded in turning it into a liberal utopia by not allowing anyone not liberal to pass any legislation, they are destroying it and its going down fast, you are destroying your utopia, go figure. 3 Link to comment

That is, by fact, the only thing making them illegal. Many of our ancestors arrived on a boat to Ellis Island. They were a citizen almost immediately. They started working, paying taxes, and generally contributing. If they were not accepted as citizens they'd have had to find work illegally, thus not paying taxes. Possibly illegal industry that degrades society because that is the work that pays non citizens easily. But that will never happen because real "Americans" won't know how to order breakfast in any other language.
