datzenmike
Not at all. Mental cases like Cruz would be locked up and or medicated not allowed to run around loose. Dogs and cats are euthanized to control their populations and suffering. Obviously this adjustment to a law abiding society could be severely abused. (imagine waking in the night to the thought police at your door, come to take you away) But it's all pie in the sky wishing.... the way our (or your) society is set up it can never be. 1 Link to comment

paradime
Given what's been meticulously laid out in the 13 indictments it's pretty easy to guess what the Dems are gong to say: No more hoax, no more BS excuse for losing the election, why isn't Trump protecting the US from Russia, etc. That's easy, but I'm curious what Republicans are going to say come Monday. Do they continue attacking the integrity of the investigation, or start dealing with Russia's act of social cyber warfare? Serious message retooling going on right now. Other possibilities? We all know the CIA has done the same but does that mean we should sit down and let this go, or should there be a price? Now if we continue to do nothing does that make Trump look strong internally and abroad? Irrespective of any possibility of collusion or obstruction, I know this brings the legitimacy of the election into question, but it's done and over. As president Trump needs to put that aside and act in response to this or it will be a PR nightmare for him and the party. Who's got their ball? Link to comment
VFR800
That's an option. Well Charlton did say it'd be the only way someone would get his firearms and there's a lot of yanks who would likely say same. Or just give up certain guns. There could be a balance. From what I have seen across social media,on forums and speaking with US friends - anything that is a change from status quo is a THREAT to their 2nd amendment rights. So seems "balance" does not come into the conversation for those folks. 1 Link to comment

That's why there is so much push back because it always give an inch take a mile. 7 Link to comment
VFR800
Because there is no "balance" Could not agree more, with the volume of gun ownership (legal or otherwise) in the USA it's wayyyyy too late for this issue to be solved. There'll be more mass shootings ad infinitum (or till the USA is no longer an entity) 1 Link to comment

Funny The US media was their tool. The media is garbage in, garbage out. What happens when two armies are in battle and one army gets a steady supply of ammunition? It's still just two armies fighting a fair fight right? That ammunition supply is not worth consideration. And the armies should not spend energy thinking about why they chose to supply one side over the other. Everyone chooses sides. But if a country that is historically hostile actively assists one side, we as a country should be concerned. Was it defensive? Did they think Hillary was a danger to their country? Was it offensive? Did they think a Trump presidency would damage their enemy? Was it revenge? Was the historical gripe with Hillary driving their actions? Was it economic? We're there financial motivators? Payoff? Promises? Was Trump aware of their efforts? Question we seek to answer: What can we do to identify and prevent this in the future? I will never approve of other countries interests driving our country's highest privilage, the right to vote. Influencing the voters is FAR more effective than garnering fake ballots. https://youtu.be/YQXe1CokWqQ 1 Link to comment

Assisting one side? They were focusing on Bernie, HRC, Jill Stein, Trump, Resist Trump, and any divisive organizations they could and who knows what else. 13 Russian trolls basically causing chaos with a budget of 100K and fake IDs. What should piss you off is after millions of dollars and a year of investigation this IS all that's coming out of the "Muh Russia" investigation. Also "Influencing the voters is FAR more effective than garnering fake ballots." You do realize influencing voters is pretty much the definition of campaigning right? I don't like foreign agents having any business in our elections but you might want to put a better criticism here. 3 Link to comment
