Not trumps fault, Remington kind of went to shit quality wise a few years ago, remember the r51 fiasco? Not to mention that every model 700 since the 70's has a faulty trigger.

I know it’s tomayto tomahto, but it’s more of a problem with the safety than the trigger. Regardless, it’s bad for business to know a design is potentially dangerous, as was brought by designers of the model 700, and decide the fix is too expensive when it’s less than a dollar per unit. Furthermore, the death of a child, whether remingtons actual fault or not, is not good for sales. It’s few and far between that someone, even though I do, would blame the grieving mother for that accident. I do blame her because if she was handling the rifle safely by having it pointed where she KNEW no one could be hit by a discharge, the kid would still be alive. Pointing a rifle at a travel trailer, even if you don’t think someone is inside or behind it is negligent in my book. Proper unloading procedure for any weapon requires pointing in a safe direction until unloading is verified. I can say that my brothers 90s 870 seems of a quite higher quality than our older brothers 2010-ish 870 from finish to function the older one is just better. Remington is going to shit these days, I fully agree. Worst part is they still act like they’re top of the line and their prices reflect that. Their financial problems are their own fault.

Remington was purchased by "freedom group" who's sole purpose is making money, not quality firearms. That's where they have truely gone to shit, when it becomes more about money and less about the quality of the product.

And I agree with you, some one doesn't accidentally get shot if they practice safe firearms handling.

They’re going to be assed out soon enough. There’s too many quality manufacturers, some of which are just coming into their own, that will occupy Remingtons market share. Mossberg and Benelli make great shotguns, there are a bunch of quality rifle manufacturers in the same price range...they’re fucked in my book. They have nothing that no one else has.

shooting at Florida high school

EVERY time the media makes this into one heck of a show. So it prompts the next troubled teen to step up and try to outdo the last one.

,...get ready for the dems to make it even more of a show over the next few days.

As much as i can't stand the media let's not make it their fault for reporting real news.I doubt any media personnel enjoy doing this story.

Although the media soaks it for all the ratings they can get out of it, I agree John.

He's right about the media needing to glorify these killers less.

Not sure "glorify" is accurate

Glorify:

a : to make glorious by bestowing honor, praise, or admiration.

b : to elevate to celestial glory.

I think they could capitalize on them less though, but at the same time I wouldn't be happy if the media started looking the other way. Balance

Alleged photos of the suspected Florida high school shooter make reference to various ideologies including communism and perhaps ISIS, and voter records suggest 19-year-old Nicolas Cruz was a Democratic voter.

did not see it in the coverage I watched(only shown from behind), but it was said he had on a communist themed T-Shirt when arrested. Bet they find connection to antifa.

I wore a Che Guevara T when younger. It  means shit.

Teenagers, young adults. Not fully formed and mentally and emotionally equipped for life yet. Easily manipulated and not always strong enough to resist internal and external forces.

Not sure they are actually less able to resist internal/external forces. The older I get, the more I see the opposite

As i get older, I do make wiser decisions and know who to let in my life, I have fewer friends. I don't need to go fast, im much simpler, less materialistic. Btw, studies have shown that the frontal lobe or the executive planning does not really mature for males till around 25 years old and for some it may take longer. I think when you are young emotions take over and lots of time its about the ego. Anywhoo, that's my opinion.

Had to scoff @ a meme type thing saw online the other day about how Fidel Castro stopped school for 1 year for year six school kids so the kids could go teach illiterate people how to read and write.

Yeah,he's a real hero!

How about the other shit he's not done for the people of Cuba and the shitty things he's done.

Could have done a lot more but with the US against you he didn't have a lot to work with. Any country working with Cuba got no work or help from the States.  Banking would have been almost zero. His island paradise was almost totally isolated. That's a tough row to hoe.

The prefrontal cortex is responsible for rational analytical thought and projective inference, aka taking into consideration the consequences of your actions. Not only haven't the prefrontal cortex of adolescent's brains fully developed, those suckers have high octane hormones pump'n through em.

Old people follow the leader and ask permission. Visit a retirement community

I did an internship in an acute elderly care facility and I'm telling you man, those old folks are unruly. Like herding cats.

It was a viable alternative to all the corruption and who was running the country. Actually I think US interests were running Cuba. Today he would have done much better, but in the late 50s there was the Cold War and extreme anti communist sentiment. If the US today can trade with China they damn well could trade with Cuba. Times change. When the old Castro's are all gone there will be more changes.

Viable for a time but not all this time.

I never understood the rationale for not trading with Cuba once the USA was doing so with China.

It cannot be solely cause Cuba allowed "nukes" to be pointed at USA cause China been doing that from since they acquired that capability.
