So what if Trump didn't serve in the military. Why does it even matter ? are you aware that Clinton and Obama didn't either ? or was it ok for them to not serve because they're Democrats ? this is one of those weak points i don't get.

Amen. I have never understood why so many deem it necessary for a president to have military time under his belt. Herbert Walker was a legit fighter pilot hero but his CIA service turned him into a dog turd of a person. Then you've got Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut who received at least five draft deferments during the Vietnam War before he enlisted. For years, he traded on being a Vietnam vet before he admitted he "misspoke" on at least one occasion by saying he'd served in Vietnam when in fact he was stateside reserves the entire time but if you dare call him out on it the dems want to focus on the service and not the stolen valor aspect of it.

I'll tell ya what - there were millions of young men who wanted what Trump got (deferments) and I never knew any Vietnam vets who hated them for it and when I went in 1989 there were still many of them on active duty. If Trump had went in and gotten decorated in Vietnam the left would find a way to play the baby killer card on him. As it is, they think he should have been the only young man in the country to have been chomping at the bit to go to Vietnam even while most of them were burning their own draft cards and spitting on the soldiers as they came back.

I can live with Trump not being a veteran when I see the shook-up VA workers now when I go to the clinic. Before he started the reform of the VA system you'd see waiting rooms full of elderly men in Purple Heart, Vietnam or Desert Storm hats sitting like statues hoping to God not to incur the wrath of the civilian workers who loved to respond to the mens' polite questions in loud, demeaning tones that were always ended with, a "Sirrrr!!!" that somehow managed to convey more contempt than even the tacky answer had.

Now, it's the workers who are scared and forcing smiles. I'll take Trump not serving over an arrogant staff making veterans feel like shit because they aren't experts on the VA healthcare system. No other president would have fought so hard to rope in a rogue group of entitled federal employees.

  analzheimer's

Well at last we know what it's called.

Nope, and my HIgh School ROTC doesn't count

And it is Jesse, in case you can not read

In my experience Jesse is what Mexican Americans named Jesus call themselves (for whatever reason).

You feel attacked ?

Please, your complete lack of intrinsic understanding as to why John McCain is deserving of at least a modicum of primal respect puts to bed the delusion of the right that they are the only true guardians of American honor and duty and loyalty.

Not necessary, but all things equal between two candidates... a vet will win. I mean a VET not someone who flew planes in Alabama for the National Guard during a conflict. A vet has demonstrated that they are willing to put their life on the line for their country. I think this strikes a chord with voters.

In one respect, it shows intelligence to not join the military, especially in the midst of a war that doesn't make sense. On the flip side, the president is the commander in chief. He better fucking understand first hand how the military works. So, yes. Military experiance counts. But I'll vote for the better candidate if he didn't serve. I'll just wish he had.

John McCain is a traitor. That's why he does not get respect.

He gave information to the enemy while a POW and recorded anti-US propaganda. This outright violates the Code of Conduct for Members of the United States Armed Forces.

IIIIf I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy. IVIf I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way. VWhen questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause

But even ignoring the brutal circumstances that forced that, this is the real reason he is a traitor is his meetings with ISIS leaders in 2013, of which there are many photos, look it up yourself. Oh wait I'll include the pictures here:

This does not of course count any of his current treasonous sedition which will get excused by his glioblastoma diagnosis.

So fuck him!

Sounds like John Kerry and John McCain should have the presidency locked up if either one of them ever decides to run for the office.....oh, wait.

Escort says she shot client because he was bad at oral sex

An escort in Washington state says she shot her client twice in the head — because he was lousy at oral sex, according to reports.

Marissa Wallen, 21, then allegedly stole her john’s wallet and gun, left him for dead and went on a $12,000 spending spree in Skagit County, according to the Herald of Everett, Wash.

The 36-year-old North Everett man’s employer grew concerned when he didn’t log in for his stay-at-home job on the morning of Oct. 24.
