Blaming one side or the other only serves to perpetuate this cultural crisis of division. Shit on the media for magnifying and capitalizing on the spectical of our Divided State of America. I'm so God Damned sick of this shit. Every single country that fell in the Arab Spring fell as a result of exactly this division. It will end the US. Really all that has changed is the polarized media has no hesitance on reporting accusations on the powerful. In the 40's you just wouldn't see stories like Lewinski. Leaders did a ton of shit, but no one would report a thing unless it was basically tried and convicted. If anything, I'd bet the rich and powerful are less fucked up now due to this accountability. We need to bring down the establishment, but no matter how honest and forthright the effort, it will never happen with a polarizing leader. Conservative and Liberal mindsets are both sides of the same coin. In the struggle between left and right, with every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Both sides are not mutually exclusive as we're been lead to believe. Both sides have merit and value in solving the problems we face, and until we realize this the coin will continue to spin rather than roll to where it's needed. Right now there is a HUGE vacuum in the political center and I hope our county's next great president will be sucked into it. Link to comment

Their duality gives checks and balances. Their imperminance gives way to change. We are at the junction past where that change was due but couldn't transpire. We see a people deceived and mislead, yet our rhetoric has emboldened our convictions. It's gotten to a point where we prefer proof over truth. A sick fallacy that our "club" has answers and all we need to do is elect those who can take down the other "club", so they no longer stand in the way. We see every aspect of society assigned a letter. Even education is being stigmatized. Think about that for a second. Many of you have been led to view higher education as a tool of politics. We must, like any partnership, work together in compromise, work together in majority, work together in principal. We currently act, and prefer to regard ourselves as divorced.
