We all tend to tailor events into something that makes sense to us. So it's better that you don't believe that religious nuts would hate YOU so much they would fly planes into buildings, but instead, that your government would cover up a conspiracy or be the cause. This theory would find the most fertile ground in those who don't trust their government the most. Occam's razor (also known as the Law of Parsimony)... the simplest answer is almost always the correct one. AKA Keep It Simple Stupid K.I.S.S.

Nothing about our government or their actions is simple. you think the fathers of KUBARK can't devise a way to make profit and reunify the average americans ideology. not to mention the twin towers was the focus of a years long investigation by the public for their underhanded ways. before occupy wallstreet or any of these current political movements seeking one truth or another it was a request of transparency of the WTC through the 90's. this was cominbg to a close before they fell a lot was going to be exposed. They knew a challange from outside forces would unify the people to agree with their plans. fun fact. during all this and our war with saddam, The Bush family and the  Hussein we're neck and neck in the world oil trade. guess who got control of a lot of their assets after we murdered and pillaged our way through their country? The Bush family.  consolidation of power over resources. its what war has almost always been about. Murica!

Make a comment on the 9/11 thing. Anyone been to NYC? Personally I would not recommend it. Aggressive, passive aggressive and crazy. However the people have an insane passion about the city, it is so weird.

This demolition conspiracy theory,...In the middle of NYC, in the most busy part of NYC, in buildings that were open for business 24/7. You expect me to believe that an explosives crew waltzed in and set explosives and no one at all noticed, overheard, stopped them, reported to the police or questioned them. In NYC, In LA, perhaps,  Chicago meh, not in NYC.

Add in all of the Police and private security guards around. No.

not necessarily a demolition. just government orchestrated. I mean just look at our history. we founded the modern means of breaking and dehumanizing our enemies. our legacy is a very dark one. A country not afraid to do the darkest of actions to remain on top. Even in this age of social justice, I doubt we will slow down our cloak and dagger operations, because at our core. We are a ruthless nation, the latchkey child of the Roman Empire just trying to make daddy proud.

...so if the US govt orchestrated 911 and twin towers, what is the benefit? What did we get out of it?

that's already been expressed. the public backed a violent expansion of big oil by attacking the Hussein's. they gained insurance money, wiped records and a clean slate, public unification for war which is America's most profitable business. far as finances are concerned we came out on top across the board. Can't just go crusading like we used to in the old world. we needed a reason to kick in their door and rob them. and if you think we as a nation aren't capable of such evils you have no idea where this nation comes from. We seek to appear like the worlds white knight only because we realized we created our own slice of hell in our wake.

...you are the one assuming that I'm not aware of Americas troubled history.

I said "if" not "your ignorant" just to clarify. you could be well aware and seeking explanation. but there are those who think America could never do something like that! but we can. and have. many times.

....nefarious, like the Umbrella corporation.

Don't get me wrong, its still one of the best places to live but its getting harder and harder to get ahead. A typical 4 bedroom house in Sunnyvale, maybe 40 yrs old, 2000 sq. feet, went over the asking price like almost 800k, and sold for 2 million dollars.

I hear that. my old landlord sold her house they got for 25k back in the day for half a million and it was a simple maybe 1500 sq ft house. So I'm taking advantage of this high price development and bought my own house for 134k, 50k less than asking price and remodeling it and it will be worth almost a million when I am done. vintage house, half acre and right after purchase a condominium started developing down the road. my area is expanding fast. sits around 200-300 people now and will be over a thousand by next summer. at least that's the development projections.

NYC is certainly unique. I was a firefighter in NY during 9/11. Not NYC, but outside the city. Three days of station hopping to cover displaced companies. From day one, controlled demolition was rumored to be PART of the attack. I don't like to think the US gov. orchestrated it. But I have faith in their investigative ability. Thus, I expect they have much more information than us. Things they won't tell us.

What leads to these theories is nothing worth ignoring. The day before the attacks our government admitted to losing trillions of dollars. Literally the largest loss of money in history. Unaccounted for. Bomb sniffing dogs who had been a staple of security at the trade centers were removed weeks before the attacks. The security firm in control of the towers was managed by the Bush family and backed by Saudis. The Patriot Act, signed days after the incident, was drafted before the incident. The senators who went against the patriot act received anthrax letters as a message. The black boxes that were recovered were lost. Insurance against airplanes hitting the building was added weeks before the incident. Trillions in gold moved in the days prior. Bin Laden family members were the only people flying while all airlines were grounded in the days after the attack with FBI escort.

It's just too fucking strange. I wish I could just believe the commission report. But instead I look at the political atmosphere leading into this, and I see us now, worrying about another "unifying event".

When did we find the means to "break and dehumanize our enemies" ?
