Trophy24
The ones I have installed on a different brand car require you to drill and install bolts to go with the double sided tape. They usually have a template you tape to the car for hole location. Check the box for yours or it might be part of a PDF for installation instructions. I always hate drilling for these, but the bolts are necessary. Quote Link to comment

Trophy24
We use a step drill once the pilot hole is done. They make a nice round hole in the sheet metal. You can also mark the bit with a sharpie so you don't go too far! Quote Link to comment

Ranman72
Well today was the day for clear reflectors to be installed the drivers side was easy I removed the inner fender and pulled the amber one in about 15 mins the passenger side was another story I removed the inner fender and there was the windshield washer bottle right in the way the bottom screw was easy the top one you needed to be double jointed but I got it out
installed the spoiler and it was pretty easy but always scary drilling holes
I didn't realize but the trunk lid is plastic or fiberglass I had to oblong the holes because they don't go straight through the trunk the have to be angled because the bolts were holding the back of the spoiler off of the trunk lid

getting detailed

Quote Link to comment

Ranman72
we had a squeak that was getting a little more annoying every day, I thought it was something in the frame or chassis part of the car but it turned out to be a bad rear wheel bearing it didnt sound at all like a wheel bearing but the drivers side rocks about 5/15 of an inch and squeaks the exact sound we were hearing while I was under the car checking every bolt I found this and was shocked can you tell what it is from the pic ? 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That's the driveshaft. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
^^^^^^^ yes it is and made of plastic WTF wow crazy I was shocked Quote Link to comment
Draker
Those are common in performance applications. Driveshafts are also designed to sheer off if overloaded. They are a thin hollow tube and will usually have something like a piece of cardboard inside to dampen vibrations. Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
I could just see it now go nto do a burnout and hook up to good and good bye driveshaft they are probably much stronger than that but I was very surprised Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
Well...that was an easy one. Besides spending a lot of time at Nissan dealerships...it says propeller right on it. 1 Quote Link to comment
