Andres131313 Posted July 12, 2014 Report Share Posted July 12, 2014 It ran fine with the filter off and a screw driver in one of the vacuum lines. My friend put premium gas in it and I changed the the waterpump, alternator,valve cover gasket, Ngk spark plug wires, champion spark plugs, oil change, removed radiator to get to the water pump. Now there it won't idel and fires up through the carb. I think every line is connected. Please help. I also put a video on YouTube of what's happening. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic Posted July 12, 2014 Report Share Posted July 12, 2014 Probably got the spark plug wires mixed up. Dist turns CCW, so often #4 and #2 get swapped since folks put them on CW. Then it runs on 2 cyls and backfires the other 2. but GOD WHY CHAMPION PLUGS?!? NGK wires AND plugs, my friend. NipponDensos in a pinch. But never, ever Champions or Autolites. Quote Link to comment
