deerio
Hey all, anybody have any experience or can shed some light in converting a twin headlight 520 to a single headlight? I found a twin model that's in great condition but I love how single headlight models look. Quote Link to comment
Guest Rick-rat
The easiest and cheapest way is to remove one headlight from each side  3 Quote Link to comment
olderdat620
I did that and made my own square tube grill got pulled over by the CHP according to DMV single lights in Cali are supposed to be bigger I was not in the position to argue took it off Quote Link to comment
deerio
Is it just a matter of replacing the grill and fabricating brackets for headlights? As in, the hood, fenders, etc are all the same? If so then the doesn't seem too bad. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Wouldn't the single headlight stuff from an earlier 520 work? Grill, buckets and bulbs. Then just wire accordingly. Asking; Not stating. Quote Link to comment

deerio
That's what I was thinking/hoping would be the case... Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That's what I was thinking/hoping would be the case... Shouldn't be too hard to finger out. I like the single headlight versions better too. Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Look in my build thread and you will see that the radiator support ends would need to changed to fit the larger headlight buckets. Also yhe part numbers for the fenders change on the 67 model. not sure why. I have not compared a 65-66 fender to a 67 and up 520 fender. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Fenders probably support the 5 3/4" rather than a 7" Quote Link to comment
deerio
Damn Charlie read thru part of your build and got inspired!!! That painter you dealt with sounds whack! Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
The painter is a one legged homeless person now. These are fun trucks. Enjoy yours. Quote Link to comment
