lacombe620
Truck is said to run when it was parked in 96. I do have the bench seat as well. My plan is to have it running, cleaned up, at Canby next summer. There is going be be alot of work not just getting it cleaned. I looked underneath and someone wired an electric fuel pump with a cut extention cord. I will have to fix and replace the errors of the previous owners. Getting that door back on was just the first step. 3 Quote Link to comment

wayno
attempted to remove the tail gate.. pinned hinge... rusted solid. Where is the bolts? May have to cut off. Don't cut them off, get some mystery oil/PB blaster and soak the shit out of them for a day or so, then take a punch and hit them firmly on the end that looks less rusty, once they are moving, use a gutter nail with the end ground flat. Your lucky the grill is there and in good condition, they are hard to find. 1 Quote Link to comment

lacombe620
Gas tank drained with a glug, glug of nearly solid substance, dam rotten gas. The Pinto tail lights out with just a few broken bolts. The bed loose but gas tank still needing to be dropped. The bed bolts were an odd assortement of bolts. The middle two were just 16 penny nails bent over... This is looking worse by the minute. 1 Quote Link to comment

That makes it easier to get the box off, I have found if the nuts don't come loose right away when taking the nuts/bolts off to remove the bed, tighten them till they break, it's faster. 1 Quote Link to comment
lacombe620
What a nightmare, broken bolts galour! Every other bolt snaped off, 4 broken drill bits, and alot of words. Bad Words! Just to remove the passenger side fender. Front bumber is stuck on, as the front bolts just spin, not sure if there is a nut below as it is so small I can't see one....... Freddie is coming to see me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote Link to comment
