I restored the 240z steering wheel i got for it! 

Istarted with this....

Cleaned the years of grime with soapy water and a scotch pad

sprayed some Var polyurethane clear, and color came back!

Then primed the black spokes

and finished product! although it still has a lot of imperfections it looks way better! I still need to restore the horn pad, but that'll be later!

Yes the L16, L18 and L20B were all 620 engines and totally interchangeable. Lots of thing can be swapped to keep these great trucks on the road in 40 years.

 

Yes it is an L20B. The L20 was a six cylinder previously and when the 4 cylinder came about there had to be a way of telling them apart other than visually.

Installed my 280 cam and dropped a new distributor in it. The power band is from 2000-6000 rpm: It really pulls hard. It was fast and fun to drive before: But I really had fun on the 58 between Tehachapi and Bakersfield yesterday!
