floyd17
Post what you got. Interested in doing a ka24de (or ka24e), in my hatch; after I discovered a ca18det is a massive undertaking. Has anyone carb'd a KA before? I have 2 dellortos I really want to see under my hood. Quote Link to comment
floyd17
Just curious as to what swaps people have done. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
How is a CA swap any harder than the KA? I'm going through an L18 swap into my '79 coupe. 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The KA24 needs the same mods as the CA18DE. But its a lot larger engine so more powerful. Quote Link to comment

I was under the impression that there was less fabrication involved in swapping a KA. Ka's can also be carb'd. Which is appealing to me. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
CA can also be carbed, if you want less hp Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
I suggest the 5.0 engine. Fits nicely in a 210. Doesn't cost much. More HP than any Nissan 4. Quote Link to comment

Ok. So say I want to do a ka24de swap, what is transferable out of a 240sx into the 210, as far as cross members motor mounts tranny mounts, etc. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Ultimate Nissan L4 swap is the FJ24 engine. In B310 The FJ20ET makes up to 203 HP in stock form. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Easiest swap is for a 210 engine from a non-mpg car. Instant 80hp and no mods required. Quote Link to comment

I'm aware, in the mean time I'm trying to acquire a h72 head. Going to try to fabricate an intake manifold for my dellortos. Quote Link to comment
floyd17
I'm wanting a strong car. But in the mean time I'll take being able to climb a hill adequately. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
H72 head won't make 80 HP. Save your money for an engine swap. And you are right, the 65 HP motor has no problem climbing hills. Quote Link to comment

Ok. And mine does.. Won't pull uphill in 5th at any speed. And won't pull uphill in 3rd at under 25 or 30mph Quote Link to comment
