I drove mine hard for the first bit, they all seated fine. Just stayed out of constant RPMs.. lots of recommendations out there on how to do it..

I was reading all over. You're never going to find a straight answer. I did see more saying to drive hard. When it comes the time, I'll just go up on the freeway on a Saturday/Sunday morning so I can do my thing without being bothered with traffic and do a bunch of hard pulls in different rev ranges with engine braking inbetween.

When all is said and done....drive it like you stole it.....but don't over rev.....

.....freeway is pretty hard to break an engine in. Broke in my first one on the way to Canby.....

......this was tough becuz you're NOT suppose to sustain engine rpm for more than a minute at a time.....

......so I was constNly passing people....then they would pass me.....then I'd be pass them again....and so on.

Pretty annoying....

......I say find your self a nice empty windy road and have at it!!!!

I set my rings on the free way with a 2hr drive, although I had other problems, my rings set and had full compression on all cylinders, pretty much took Datsun mikes engine break in advice, on it pretty hard for the first 30 mins lots of 3rd gear pulls and 4th gear engine break s to a safe rpm to do another 3rd gear pull to about 5k and keep it there for 20 seconds than shift cruise for about 10 mins and than all over again for about an hour stopped at a buddy's for about an hour, than did it all again for another hour
