jeu510 Posted June 18, 2014 Report Share Posted June 18, 2014 has anyone found a site or done a fuse box conversion on a 510 to use the newer style fuse and eliminate the old fuse box? i have searched and cannot find anything or anyone who has done it. i want to get rid of the old fuse box that the 510s have. hope someone has done it before and can give me some pointers or lead me in the right direction....thanks ahead Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz) Posted June 26, 2014 Report Share Posted June 26, 2014 just clean up with vinagar. Nothing wrong with a 510 box.plus the wire plug in to the box why make it funky but cutting and splicing making it worse. why make this hard? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla Posted June 26, 2014 Report Share Posted June 26, 2014 1. Remove the fuse box. Mark each wire so you can put them back in the same spot 2. Soak the fuse box overnight in vinegar 3. Rinse with water / arm & hammer solution. This will neutralize the vinegar acid 4. Rinse with plain water and let dry 5. Replace Good as new. If you fuse box is melted, new ones can be found on eBay. Be sure to get the early or late style to match your car. Quote Link to comment
