So on Sunday I got my second car, first datsun as my grad gift... Runs smooth and is quiet.

Few problems the windshield is cracked (anyone know where I can get one)

Seats need to be reuphosterled

Dash needs to be replaced

Other than that it's good!

Also I need to know a few things:

What engine oil do I use?

What tranny oil do I use? (5-speed)

Looks good.

GL-4 80w90 for the transmission or any oil that says: copper or copper alloy or 'yellow metal safe' on can.

GL-5 80w90 for the differential

15w40 Chevron Dello 400 or Shell Rotella -T Do NOT use a fram filter. Use NAPA gold or WIX

Why is everyone opposed to a fram filter. I'm running a Bosch right now

Cause a filter should be more than cardboard, coffee filter material, an cheaply joined metal... my first car had a fram that leaked around the bottom, but it wasn't the seal. It was the threaded cap where its connected to the rest of the filter.

Now I'm not gonna say any specific brand cause all companies seem to be going cheap these days, but at least try to get one without the cardboard ring in the bottom. Most oils including synthetics can break down this cardboard media and if it fails in the right (wrong) area the filter material will dislodge into the engine blocking oil passages

I've been a bit lazy to upload or respond to anything... Been going to the beach every other day. I found a not cracked windshield but have yet to get it installed.

Since I got the car my dad lent me a set of rims that were on his Starlet.

I added the center console from the sedan:

Found a clean glovebox (but my younger brother later knee'ed when he got of there car...)

I also had to change the seats because they were just horrible... My back would ache if I had to drive anywhere further than 10 miles away from my house. I had a old pair of seats from my mk1b MR2 that were switched with a pair of mk1a seats. With a little help from my pops we got them in the car in about 3 hours. We didn't have to modify the car itself so if I can find a great pair of original seats I can just pop them right in.

That thing is MINT. How many miles does she have?? Great find for sure, must have some damn cool parents to get this as a grad gift haha.

and it has 196,745 miles as of now. And originally I was going to get a new car till after my first semester of college but my younger brothers are in drumline so my dad decided I needed a wagon to help carry their drums. Couldn't do that in my mr2 so I got the 210 wagon coincidentally I've wanted a b210 or 210 since middle school so one childhood dream is completed!

Also I don't have a radio in my car so driving is a little bit boring. I wanted know what you guys put in your car and how did you wire yours up. I just want to put something simple so when I have people in the car or long trips it isn't just the soundtrack of the road (which i don't mind at all)
