MiniTruckLove
Hey there, i've been scouring the forums the last few days since I am actually looking to pick up a 69 521 next week in my area. If i somehow glazed over the answer to my question feel free to douse me in gas and throw the match. It is pretty clean and semi restored with a "newer" Nissan Z motor(is what the CL ad says). Anyways, my question is, if I switch over to disc http://community.ratsun.net/topic/11459-disc-brake-kits-521520320620/, what will i need to complete the coilover setup in beebanis thread here? http://community.ratsun.net/topic/11817-620-coilover-mounts/ . I am totally out of water concerning kingpin suspension, I found a thread on here discussing the 720 frame swap since it already has all the naughty bits of newer suspension + power steering (which ill get around to one day) but im a stickler for staying close to original as possible. ggzilla
I'd stay with the original drum brakes. They are large and stop quickly if kept adjusted. Only takes 15 minutes to adjust every 3 months. Quote Link to comment
wayno
Welcome :) First just buy the truck and drive it for a little while, then decide if you want to start modifying it. I like Mikes brackets, it's all bolt on, no welding or cutting, and the parts are easy to get for it. Quote Link to comment
