FirstDime
Next up i think will be replacing the front bushings with fresh upgraded polyurethane's and clean up and paint all the suspension components while im at it.... Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
Don't use polyurethane for the TC rod bushings, it is too stiff. Several have had the rod itself snap off from using poly bushings. The material is too stiff, it doesn't flex enough. The TC rod itself starts flexing and it end up braking off the threaded end where the OD steps for the bushing hardware. 3 Quote Link to comment

FirstDime
Despite all the beer this weekend i did manage to make some progress in preparation for swapping the 280zx coilovers and brakes. Started off cleaning up the brake brackets in the sand blaster and them 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of black engine paint  also cleaned up some of the brake hardware while i was at it, Next it was finally time to get the perches cut off the struts :w00t: :w00t: and Busta even helped out a little  One down one to go!! doing it in the vice makes life so much better   success......... a little clean up and then off to the sandblaster for good ol cleaning.... and magic, a few nice coats of primer and called it a night, still need to weld on the spring rings for coilovers and still need the following parts: -calipers -rotors -wheel bearings -bump steer spacers 2 Quote Link to comment
Busta Nut
Decided FUCK the muffler guy..... ..........I'm welding these myself..... Had to make sure they sit straight...... So I flipped it upside down with the sleeve on so it would sit flush with the top of the strut housing...... Quote Link to comment
Busta Nut
Tacked it up....... It's been cold here lately and our welder isn't the greatest so I decided to heat the metal up a bit before welding..... 1 Quote Link to comment
