RX-7 GLSE

That explains it. Couldn't think of a 4 lug car with vented rotors...   ^_^

Yeah, I've given up on mine at least 4 times.

I was glad it had the four bolt pattern. Although 5 would have been ok too.

I finally have enough to have the body chem dipped.

The 79-85 RX7 GSL has solid discs and a 4x110 BC.

The RX7 GSLE model was only made in 84-85 and uses a 4x114.3 BC. It had the larger 13B EFI rotary engine, pretty rare car.

Although, as many rear axles as I've seen over the years, it must not be that rare. Or they all ended up in the junkyard for us Datsun guys...   ^_^

It looks great. Because of this I went to the local 'yard' and looked at a Toyota Cressida? that was there. 6 cylinder DOHC engine. Figured it might have a nice H-190 size narrow rear end.... but IRS.

I hadn't even though to look at those.

I believe they went IRS around '82. So you'd either need to find a first gen or early second gen. As I recall, first gen is drum, second gen is disc? So that's a somewhat narrow window for a donor as well.

I had to buy a whole car to get this axle.

Then had a buddy strip anything he needed for his RX7... Turns out he wanted the axle too.

Mazdatrix says the 84-85 GSL-SE is a 4.076 ratio

Thanks Dave.

Reworking the original four link and watts link to the Datsun will be fun.
