I finally have enough to have the body chem dipped. Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
The 79-85 RX7 GSL has solid discs and a 4x110 BC. The RX7 GSLE model was only made in 84-85 and uses a 4x114.3 BC. It had the larger 13B EFI rotary engine, pretty rare car. 1 Quote Link to comment

Although, as many rear axles as I've seen over the years, it must not be that rare. Or they all ended up in the junkyard for us Datsun guys... ^_^ Quote Link to comment

Mattndew76
I guess LSD? what is the ratio on this? and what diameter is the ring gear? I havnt cleaned off the stamping yet. Its still sitting on the stands waiting for attention. It is LSD, but no clue as to ratio yet. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It looks great. Because of this I went to the local 'yard' and looked at a Toyota Cressida? that was there. 6 cylinder DOHC engine. Figured it might have a nice H-190 size narrow rear end.... but IRS. Quote Link to comment

So you'd either need to find a first gen or early second gen. As I recall, first gen is drum, second gen is disc? So that's a somewhat narrow window for a donor as well. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
I had to buy a whole car to get this axle. Then had a buddy strip anything he needed for his RX7... Turns out he wanted the axle too. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
Mazdatrix says the 84-85 GSL-SE is a 4.076 ratio Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Thanks Dave. Reworking the original four link and watts link to the Datsun will be fun. Quote Link to comment
