DatMo
So i was doing research because I'm in love with these rims for a 620,,, http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag133/Rude_Day/IMG_7656_zps49178470.jpg I was just wondering why such few people ran them. I have done some research and understands they need a spacer but what's the right size. I've heard 1 inch to be perfect but would they fit pretty well with 1/2? If i did 1/2, is it dangerous if not all the threads of my lug nuts are used. The studs wouldn't be long enough I assume. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes it would be dangerous. Easy to change the studs and cheap at the wreckers. Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
i was taught that, as long as a nut was threaded down at least the width of the bolt. that's as strong as a nut and bolt combo will get so for a 12mm wide wheel stud your lug nut needs to be at least 12mm threaded. but for a permanent setup get longer studs, Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Its actually 1.5 the diameter of the bolt is the most strength. But with lug nuts if you have the nut full of threads that's all you need. I think the engineers say you need 8 turns minimum on a 12mm stud Quote Link to comment
