The knuckles have a taper to match the ball joint, just drilling would be very much unsafe.

i meant with the proper taper and everything just bigger size, i remember reading somewhere on the 4x4 forums that they sell tapered drill bits that people have used on their knuckles to fit the bigger ball joint.

The taper on a ball joint or a tie rod end are not a standard taper, and I believe that Nissans was pretty much proprietary. I would have to measure one to be sure. It would be much easier to just find a pair of the bigger knuckles than go thru the trouble of getting a reamer and setting the knuckle at the proper angle.

finally found the right bit, a buddy had one it was like 50$ or more so i was glad he let me use it, worked perfect only took 2 minutes.

Now time to spend hours getting the surface rust off and prepping it for the por 15 and then putting down this.

But i did get a package in the mail from Josk K. with some bump steer spacers and i did get around to throwing them on.

still need to save up for the ermish idle arm bushing/bearing upgrade and then the steering should be all done.
