Nice score. The 70 2000 has the lowest production numbers of all the years built. They were built on the same line as the Z car. Only cross over year for both cars. Go over to 311s.org and have Steve put the vin in registry. The anti spam code is datsun sport if you want to register. Wake that car up very gently as you don't want to damage any of the timing components. Uber expensive. Try and find out why she was parked. If the motor is blown, there is still value in crankshaft for building a stroker from an R16, which are easy to come by. Not cheap to build but still less than a full rebuild on a U20. This will be one of the most enjoyable cars you will ever own once you get it sorted out.

Hey dude, I saw this thing on CL and was hoping someone on here would pick it up. Where you at in ATL?

Oh sure it's nice, but can you haul a load of lumber in the back?

Seriously...great find, I hope this project rocks your world!

thats why ive got my goon!!! im set, i almost bought a 521 but this vert is too rare to pass up.

quick update, got a starter installed, old one was toast. engine wont crank, did a quick timing chain inspection, tension is good, L-bracket in place, im hoping the rings are just rusted. its soaking in PB blaster for the weekend hoping to update next week, this car already has lowering springs in the front and blocks in the rear, ready to go!!!

Good luck , I wish you well. FYI, the 2 liter SRL311 roadster, the 1600 cc SPL311 roadster and the RL411 sedan share the same semi unique starter. Clocking of the solinoid to starter body mounting nut holes is unique, 510 starters will not fit. Nissan catalogs show "equivalent replacements" but these are usually for the JDM and British non "L" units with right hand steering shafts and will interfere with the left side sub rail or the pitman gear or recirculating ball steering gear box. Baring a shift lever failure inside the starter, the most likely starter failure is a worn out set of 44 year old starter brushes, easily replaced.

i completely agree 100% however a solenoid housing broken off of the starter main housing forced a complete replacement, but at 59.99 im not complaining too bad. haha, i did find the right and wrong way to replace it though, that nice little hole between the body and frame would have been sweet to know before i started removing the carb, but its a lesson learned and this car is completely new to me, and anyone around me to be exact. loving every minute of it!!
