DATSUN671
I want to know the max cam lift so I won't have coil bind. I have been looking at a 450 or a 488 lift. Thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I think it's around 0.470" before the coil begins to bind. Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
Buy comp springs, .600" + lift before you have bind issues (and it will rev past 8K with all the right other stuff). Honestly, springs need to match the cam. Stock cam, stock springs. Anything else ask the cam manufacturer and follow his recommendation. And if they say stock ones will work, buy new ones. 35 year old springs aren't likely to be very durable on a higher lift cam. 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Schnieder use to make a 460 lift cam. be honest your in Guam. I dont know if alot of machine shops maybe best to match port head/intake and just run like a 38/ 38 DGES and call it good. I know in the islands getting parts is hard to come buy and its always a waiting game. Quote Link to comment
